Job Posting – Quality Assurance Manager in the St Louis area

The Virbac Corporation, headquarted in Fort Worth, Texas, is a leading companion animal health company with pharmaceutical products in the heartworm, tick and flea, dermatology, antibiotics, endocrinology and oral hygiene markets. Virbac provides veterinarians and pet owners with high-quality products and services to meet the needs of dogs, cats and other pets. Virbac has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager in the St Louis area.

This position leads the company’s Quality Assurance function, continuously improving and implementing quality philosophy, practices and procedure to ensure that all products and related information and services are compliant with Company and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities include: – Identifies compliance levels against the site plans for quality management and continuous improvement systems
– Participates annually in the 3-year plan development, communicating findings, trends and requirements from internal and external audit activities and deviations
– Develops and approves annual quality plans for areas of QA activities
– Identifies and prioritizes areas of risk, develops action plans, and communicates identified risks and remediation to the Director.
– Ensures implementation of the quality system for all key processes of the company
– Implements Department policy and makes sure that key processes are communicated and monitored
– Develops relationships with administrative authorities and auditors, building the trust in Virbac.
– Manages audit coordination and resolution of findings (sites and suppliers)
– Approves installation, operational and performance qualifications, and cleaning, process and analytical method validations.
– Identifies desirable changes in the quality assurance policy and drives the improvement of the quality system
– Supervises the deployment of all quality assurance projects, in terms of the quality assurance and continuing improvement methods of manufacturing processes
– Drives risks assessment for product quality and regulatory compliance and facilitates inspections and audits carried out by inside and outside organizations.
– Manages stability programs (transportation testing, temperature variation, storage testing and stability)
– Oversees all investigation and correction related to field and customer complaints
– Collects quality assurance information (customer satisfaction, internal and external supplier QA) and initiates the action plan to be deployed
– Identify the best organization structure to support QA activities and personnel growth, and to grow and maintain site activities

Job Requirements:
Educational level or equivalent experience: Licensed Pharmacist, DVM, Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field

Total number of years’ experience required to fulfill the role: 10 years of combined operations and quality management

Career pre-requisites: Current knowledge of analytical and validation principles, local and international regulations and regulatory policies.
Skilled in directing and managing people, and communicating with Regulatory agencies, customers, employees at all level of the organisation.
Demonstrated ability to make risk-based assessments requiring a high degree of understanding of the overall site objectives
