“So you want to be a consultant and provide performance excellence…or perhaps lead your organization to performance excellence”
The presentation will include brief review of the pros and cons of business improvement consulting, as well as a discussion of why one should or should not consider becoming a consultant.
The criteria for leading an organization to performance excellence is similar whether one is an outside the organization consultant or an internal champion. These attributes and challenges will also be discussed. This is planned to be a semi-open discussion between the presenter and the audience.
Steve Mundwiller
Stephen Mundwiller has over 35 years of manufacturing experience, including over thirty in a leadership or management role. Steve is the former Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Allied Healthcare Products, a position he recently left. Steve is currently leading improvements at Abbott Tool & Die as a part-time General Manager. The remainder of his time is spent providing his expertise in performance excellence to his clients through his company, SME Quality Resources.
Steve holds certifications from the American Society of Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Manager of Quality /Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Quality Systems Auditor (CQA) and Quality Process Analyst (CQPA). He is also an RAB/QSA-certified Principal Auditor and an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He has been the Chair of the ASQ St. Louis Section and was a Missouri Quality Award Examiner.
