World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Quality Specialist to support our team located in Edwardsville, IL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) process with cross-functional teams to drive to root cause and corrective actions.
- Assist teams with data measurement, analysis, KPI tracking, and actions.
- Train staff in quality concepts, tools, and processes, specifically the Customer Care Center.
- Assist in development of procedures, work instructions and other documents.
- Work with teams to solve customer/supplier/product issues.
- Work independently with cross-functional teams to lead quality initiatives.
- Review current projects and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in and drive project and improvement efforts.
- Assist in internal audits, as assigned.
- Assist with the development of quality systems within new processes, products, and/or services.
- Assist with the maintenance of the ISO 9001 and TL 9000 Certificates.
- Assist with the Continual Improvement Process (CIP) program.
- Participate in New Hire Orientation providing an overview of the QMS.
- Collect, trend and analyze internal performance metrics.
- Complete special projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3-5 years general business experience; quality, supply chain or logistics preferred
- Experience in the support with Quality Management Systems applicable to the Information Technology, Telecommunication, and/or the Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution industries.
- Experience with the support of ISO 9001:2008 and/or TL 9000 certification, or equivalent industry standard.
- Experience in root-cause analysis and Closed-Loop Corrective Action resulting in process improvements.
- Ability to schedule, plan, and facilitate cross-functional meetings.
- Ability to identify problems, and initiate corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Perceptual and analytical problem solving.
- Ability to develop long- and short-term plans to achieve desired results.
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Ability to use Quality Tools such as survey, gap analysis, pareto analysis, fish-bone diagrams, 5-Why and process mapping for fact base decisions making.
- Excellent verbal/communication skills.

- Ability to make decisions and formulate plans to drive actions with minimal direction.
- Ability to work with and lead others with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
