Quality Manager

Walker Products, Inc., manufacturer of Automotive Fuel System Components and Engine Management Devices, is seeking a Quality Manager in its Pacific, MO facility.  This position will direct the company quality program in accordance with customer requirements, ISO 9001 and TS16949 guidelines and maintain certifications.   

Responsibilities will include:

1. Oversee, maintain, and improve the company’s TS 16949:2002 program.
2. Analyze and recommend appropriate changes of quality procedures to respective managers.
3. Audit existing and new TS procedures for compliance based on TS 16949 requirements and audit history.
4. Verify that procedures are in use, functional, and efficient.
5. Assume the responsibility of TS 16949 Representative for Walker Products, Inc., coordinate and administer third party audits, inclusive of schedules, communication, reports and tracking follow-up actions.
6. Report ongoing activities to Management and keep the company’s continuous improvement efforts on track.
7. Oversee and champion the Corrective Action system.
8. Maintain the corrective/preventive action program, inclusive of tracking status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses, working with departments for timely completion and periodic reports and metrics.
9. Monitor, evaluate and assign corrective actions to appropriate department heads for completion.
10. Ensure Internal/External corrective action opportunities are channeled through the CAR system.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements will include:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or QA discipline or equivalent
2. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access.
3. Must be detail oriented.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company
5. Proficient in data collections, analysis and presentation
6. 3+ years’ experience in company-wide TS 16949 lead auditing
