Quality Engineering Manager – Integration Technology Center

World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Quality Engineering Manager to support our Integration Technology Center (ITC) team located in Edwardsville, IL. This individual will provide leadership within a business operations environment that supports major WWT Fortune 100 customers.

  • Promote the World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate Goals.
  • Leads a critical team of Quality engineers, specialists and inspectors focused in our Technology Center:
    • Develops current and future quality leaders of the organization.
    • Develops inspection plans, sampling plans, and in process checks.
    • Drives appropriate level of expectations of performance and business acumen.
    • Design processes with proper quality controls in place.
    • Manages the inspection and testing programs required for products and services within the ITC.
    • Participate in internal audits for the ITC.
    • Lead quality metrics collection and analysis to drive process improvements.
    • Responsible for team performing the technical writing of work instructions.
    • Maintain the Quality System documentation.
    • Train the ITC staff in Quality concepts.
    • Collect, trend, and analyze, root cause internal performance metrics.
    • Work with others to define, develop, and track the implementation of QMS initiatives.
    • Be a thought leader in Quality Management for the organization.
  • Delivers Operational Excellence through:
    • KPI’s management to insure we are meeting all business excellence measurements for quality.
    • Operational efficiencies through strong continuous improvement initiatives in current and future business opportunities.
    • Expertise in effective process and work flow design.
    • Improve, then maintain, compliance with all Safety, ISO 9000:2008, and TL9000 requirements.
  • Provides strong collaboration:
    • Develop and maintain the ongoing collaborative relationship with the operational management teams across peer organizations (material operations, logistics, transportation).
    • Creates synergy of process, knowledge, and customer success.
    • Provide business analysis and participate in the development of business strategies for various customer supply chain programs.
    • Communicate business quality metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to management.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with 2 years of experience supporting a mature QMS.
  • 2 years of experience with ISO 9001:2008 and/or TL 9000.
  • 2 years of experience in Closed-loop Corrective Action resulting in process improvements.
  • 2 years of experience in process design using in-process controls and sample plans.
  • Proven track record of utilizing a Process Improvement Program.
  • Ability to identify problems and apply the 8D problem solving methodology.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem solving.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to use Quality Tools such as survey, gap analysis, pareto analysis, fish-bone diagrams, 5-Why and process mapping for fact base decisions making.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
  • Proficient in Visio, Microsoft Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
