World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Director of Quality to be located in our Edwardsville, IL operation. This position will oversee a team of approximately 30 Quality Managers, specialists, auditors and quality control technicians supporting a supply chain operations team of over 1,000 people worldwide. This position will oversee the development, implementation, auditing and maintenance of quality management systems supporting integration, distribution, procurement and transportation operations. This includes striving towards 100% customer retention through continual improvement. Key objectives tied to this role include increasing customer satisfaction, reducing non-conformance, customer impacting issues and rework along with increasing on time delivery and reducing cycle times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that WWT has appropriate quality systems in place and they are recognized, understood and maintained across the company. Develop, manage and maintain a compliant document control system.
- Ensure that all compliance audits are properly conducted and completed. Provide oversight for Quality Control activities. Oversee method of investigations for all customer impacting issues supporting a corrective action process to avoid repeated issues.
- Lead quality efforts in corporate development of analytical methods. Keep abreast of changes to quality regulations and guidelines, advising the management team of any business implication so these changes.
- Provide quality guidance to process improvement projects and programs.
- Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans
- Represents Quality at senior management, project and review meetings
- Promote the World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate Goals.
- Work across the organization to develop and promote a culture of safety and oversee the development and delivery of communication, training, and programs that communicate culture, values, and guidance for all employees in performing safe work.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the Safety department and collaborate with Leadership, Risk Management, and others to align goals, removal of barriers, and provide clear and consistent communications on safety.
- Participate in strategic and business planning and in setting business goals and objectives.
- Oversees development of Training techniques that provide consistency while utilizing technology and cutting edge approaches to optimize performance and compliance
- Support best in class analytics tied to operational performance including measure, analyze and optimize functions tied to key quality performance indices.
- Provide strong internal collaboration:
- Develop and maintain ongoing collaborative relationship with the sales, program management, and other operational organizations (material operations, logistics, transportation)
- Creates synergy of process, knowledge, and customer success.
- Provide business analysis and participate in the development of business strategies for various customer supply chain programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in Quality Management or related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 10 years of experience in global quality management within a related industry, plus 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in implementing quality systems in distribution and systems integration environments both domestic and international.
- Experience in quality management process, problem solving techniques, lean manufacturing and other technical methodologies to be introduced for monitoring and assuring quality systems and processes.
- Advanced knowledge of quality assurance, control and management; lean manufacturing tools/processes.
- Experience with ISO/TL requirements and international quality management.
- Passionate leader with strong analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.
- Computer skills such as Oracle systems, Email, MS Office, and MS Projects. Working knowledge of ERP software/systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
